Advisory Issued For Walleye Fish from Lyman Lake

Arizona State Parks

State environmental officials are warning against consuming certain fish from a lake in Apache County.

The Arizona Game and Fish Department issued an advisory Wednesday discouraging eating walleye caught at Lyman Lake.

According to officials, a recent test of fish tissue shows signs of elevated levels of mercury.

However, fishing, bird watching, swimming and other activities at the lake are unaffected.
