Governor Doug Ducey has welcomed a new Arizona auto business expected to create more than 4,000 jobs to Case Grande over the next decade.
Officials say Ducey and other state and local officials attended a Lucid Motors groundbreaking ceremony Monday at the site north of Interstate 8.
Lucid Motors started construction of its $300 million electric car manufacturing facility scheduled for completion late next year.
Company officials say production of their first vehicle is set to follow.
