Crews are attempting a generator fix to restore full power to KNAU Classical 88.7 atop Mormon Mountain. Outage times for our KNAU News/Talk transmitter atop Devil's Head on Mt. Elden remain dependent on APS restoration of power to that location. We'll provide updates when available. Streaming is not impacted. Thank you for your patience & support!

Auction Could Put Trust Land In Lake Havasu On Development Path

en.wikipedia.org

A vacant parcel of state trust land across the street from Lake Havasu State Park is expected to be sold during a February 12 auction.

A sale of the publicly owned property could put it on a path for development in the western Arizona community along the Colorado River.

The Today's News-Herald reports the 12-acre property is now zoned in an agriculture/preservation district.

However, a new owner could ask the city to rezone the property to allow commercial development.

Profits from the auction would go to trust land beneficiaries and public education.
