Flagstaff Police are investigating the death of a man who was hit by a train last night.

Authorities responded near the railroad crossing at Ponderosa Parkway around 10:00 p.m.

Initial reports said two individuals were standing on the tracks between eastbound and westbound trains at the time of the collision.

Police searched the area and found one man who was pronounced dead at the scene. No other person was found.

The department says it is investigating the incident working with Burlington-Northern Santa-Fe Railroad to obtain and review on-train video.
