Wind Farm Construction To Create 300 Jobs Near Kingman

A multinational oil and gas company has said the construction of a wind farm in northwestern Arizona is expected to bring hundreds of jobs to the region.

Kingman Daily Miner reported Tuesday that BP Wind Energy North America Inc. will build a 38-square-mile wind farm in White Hills, about 40 miles north of Kingman.

Company officials say they expect the project to bring up to 300 construction jobs that will be posted online December 2020.

Officials say the project is expected to generate and deliver electrical power to the regional electrical transmission grid by connecting with the existing Mead-Peacock transmission line.
