Arizona Reports Another Confirmed Case Of Coronavirus

Governor Doug Ducey's Office

There has been another confirmed case of coronavirus in Arizona bringing the presumed statewide total to six.   This one announced on Monday has been reported in rural Pima County.

State Health Services Director Dr. Cara Christ says another case identified on Friday in Pinal County had no known link to either foreign travel or another case. She says that means the virus is circulating in the community. She says case numbers could reach what is seen in a flu season in Arizona.

Meanwhile, Governor Doug Ducey acknowledged that the state's economy has taken a hit as the number of Coronavirus cases rises. He says he could order steps to limit the spread if cases ramp up further.
