Basha's And Dollar General To Offer Senior Shopping Hours During Covid-19 "Social Distancing"

Forbes

Flagstaff retail stores Dollar General and Basha's are offering special shopping hours for seniors, a high-risk group for the Covid-19, Coronavirus infection.

Grocery stores across the nation continue to sell out of certain food and toiletries as the country faces self-quarantine and "social distancing" due to the spread of Covid-19, Coronavirus. Individuals over the age of 65 have a higher risk of contracting the virus, so some retailers are offering limited seniors-only shopping hours. The move is aimed at giving older people a less risky shopping experience without having to be near hundreds of potentially asymptomatic carriers.

At least two retailers in Flagstaff are offering special shopping times: Dollar General offers seniors the chance to shop from 8 to 9 a.m. daily without other customers in the store. And Basha's is offering "senior hour" from 5-6 a.m. every Wednesday beginning tomorrow, March 18th. They will have to present a picture ID to enter the store. They may bring an assistant or caregiver with them.
