Wildfires Reported Across Arizona Over The Weekend

Daisy Mountain Fire and Medical via facebook

A few wildfires developed across Arizona over the weekend as dry and windy conditions provided conditions favorable for fires statewide.

The Lone Butte fire is located in the Phoenix area at Kyrene and the Loop 202. It has charred about 100 acres.

The Stage Fire outside of Anthem north of Phoenix near New River has moved across nearly 260 acres and was more than 75% contained as of late Sunday.  It had closed part of Interstate 17 on Saturday because of thick smoke that caused poor visibility on the highway.

And, the Sasco Fire near Red Rock and Picacho has crossed about 25 acres in southern Arizona near Interstate-Ten between Phoenix and Tucson.

Fire officials report no injuries or damages from the weekend wildfires.
