Local veterans organizations are collecting donations for veterans on the Navajo and Hopi Nations during the coronavirus pandemic.

In cooperation with Coconino County officials, the High Country Stand Down organization and the Military Order of the Purple Heart "Dale E. Crick" Chapter 793, veterans are helping veterans with life-saving supplies during the pandemic. A donation drive is planned for Saturday, May 30th, 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Flagstaff Farmer's Market and Bull Basin Archery Parking lot, 1901 N. 4th Street in Flagstaff. Local veterans organizations will be collecting non-perishable items including food, bottled water, cleaning supplies, dry goods and other essential items.  Donation pick-ups may also be arranged. For more information, call John Davison, HCSD Community Liaison, at 928-286-7446.
