Navajo Nation Reports New Coronavirus Cases And Deaths

The Navajo Department of Health reports 110 new cases of coronavirus and five more known deaths as of Saturday night. 

That pushes the numbers to nearly 6,000 confirmed cases of COVID-19 and 274 known deaths related to the virus. Tribal officials say preliminary reports from 11 health care facilities indicate nearly 2,700 people have recovered, with more reports still pending. 

The vast Navajo Nation stretches from northeastern Arizona, to northwestern New Mexico and southeastern Utah.
