Hundreds of residents, mostly senior citizens, living in the rural community of Munds Park have raised concerns after losing their only post office during the coronavirus pandemic. Residents now must travel 20 miles to Flagstaff to retrieve mail and report waiting in long lines for more than hour in warm weather.
A private contractor ran the post office and the contract was terminated abruptly. There is no timeline for hiring a replacement.
