Arizona Public Service plans to temporarily shut off power to east Flagstaff and the Grand Canyon areas Saturday due to high wildfire risk.

Northern Arizona National Forests Lift Fire Restrictions

The Coconino, Kaibab and Apache-Sitgreaves National Forests have all lifted fire restrictions, as has the City of Flagstaff and Coconino County. 

Officials with the Tonto National Forest will rescind Stage 3 Fire Restrictions and implement Stage 1 restrictions this coming Friday at 8:00 a.m. Prescott National Forest officials say fire and shooting restrictions will be lifted Saturday at 8 a.m. The restrictions have been in place since early spring due to the coronavirus pandemic, as well as and firefighter and public safety during wildfire season. Forest officials continue to urge the public to use caution with fire, whether restrictions are in place or not.
