Arizona corrections officials say almost half of the inmates at a state prison in Tucson have tested positive for the coronavirus.

More than 500 inmates in the Tucson prison’s Whetstone unit tested positive for the virus Tuesday amid a push to test all 39,000 state prisoners. The inmates who tested positive are being housed together in areas away from the rest of the general prison population and are reportedly receiving medical care, according to the Department of Corrections.
