AZ Cannabis Initiative Will Appear On November Ballot

The Arizona Supreme Court ruled Thursday to let voters decide whether or not to legalize cannabis across the board statewide.

The Smart and Safe Arizona Act, or Proposition 207, will appear on the November ballot. Organizers of the citizen initiative submitted 420 thousand signatures to the state July 1st in support of the measure. That brought a legal challenge and appeal from Arizonans for Health and Public Safety. The group alleged the language used by petitioners to describe the initiative was misleading and incomplete. The State Supreme Court voted unanimously against the challenge Thursday. Voters will decide the measure on November 3rd.
