Navajo Nation Leaders Urge Residents To Complete Census

Navajo Nation Council

Navajo Nation leaders are encouraging residents to respond to the 2020 Census.

According to the Navajo Council, the tribe’s self-response rate is 21.4%, which is 8% lower than the Navajo Nation response during the 2010 count. The national response rate is nearly 66.5%.

The Census determines funding levels for many federal programs. The Trump administration attempted to end the Census a month early, but a judge today ordered the once-in-decade count to continue through Oct. 31. It can be completed at my2020census.gov.
