Capitol Reef National Park Announces 2021 Artists In Residence

nps.gov

Southern Utah’s Capitol Reef National Park has announced its 2021 Artists in Residence.

They are photographer David Hunter, painter Rick Young, printmaker Maureen Moll and environmental writer Claire Giordano. The program pays living expenses for artists to live, work and practice their crafts in the park's spectacular landscapes. This group of artists will be documenting things like the famously dark night skies and the effects of climate change.  More than 50 national parks across the nation have an Artists-in-Residence program, including Arches and Zion National Parks, as well as Glen Canyon National Recreation Area, in Utah.
