State Vaccination Site Slated For University Of Arizona

Office of the Governor

State health officials say they’ll open a COVID-19 mass vaccination site on the campus of the University of Arizona.

It’ll be the third such facility in addition to State Farm Stadium in Glendale and Phoenix Municipal Stadium. According to Governor Doug Ducey’s office, the U-of-A site will eventually operate 24-7 and serve up to 6,000 people a day. The university has already administered 12,000 vaccine doses over the last two weeks but will open next Friday to all eligible populations and begin accepting appointments next Tuesday. As of Wednesday, nearly a million vaccines doses had been administered in the state. Appointments can be made at podvaccine.azdhs.gov.
