State-Run Vaccination Sites Expand Eligibility To 16 And Up

istock.com

State officials are expanding COVID-19 vaccine eligibility to all residents 16 and older at Arizona’s state-run vaccination sites.

Governor Doug Ducey’s office says the state expects a sufficient vaccine supply to make the expansion possible. Appointments will be available for individuals 16 and older starting Wednesday (tomorrow) morning at eight. The expansion applies only to state-run mass vaccination sites, which are currently operating in Tucson and metro-Phoenix, with another site opening soon in Yuma County. More than half a million people have been vaccinated so far at state-run locations. As of Monday, state health officials say they’ve administered close to 3 million vaccine doses.
