Coconino County COVID-19 Vaccination Rate Nears 40%, Among Highest In State

AP, file

Almost 40% of Coconino County residents have received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine.

It’s one of the highest rates of vaccination among Arizona's 15 counties. Coconino officials say they’ve maintained a steady stream of the vaccine with help from the National Guard and the Federal Emergency Management Agency, among other partners.

Coconino County Residents 18 and older are eligible for the vaccine, but 16 and 17-year-olds can only receive the Pfizer shot through state-run sites. Thirty percent of Yavapai County has received at least one dose, with nearly 22% in Mohave County and 11% in Apache County.

In Maricopa County, less than 19% have gotten a shot with more than 30% statewide having been innoculated.
