AZ Woman Who Killed Kids Was Under Investigation For Neglect

Tempe Police Department

An Arizona woman accused of killing her two children with a meat cleaver was under investigation by state child services.

The Arizona Department of Child Safety said in a statement released today that officials were alerted in early March to a case of neglect involving the suspect, Yui Inoue. The 40 year old mother and her 7 year old son had gone missing from the family’s home in Tempe. Police found them behind a convenience store. Inoue was transported to a psychiatric hospital for evaluation. Child Services did not provide details on her release.
