Gosar Introduces Resolution To End COVID-19 Emergency Declaration

AP

Arizona Representative Paul Gosar is among a group of several other Republican legislators across the country who’ve introduced a joint resolution to end the COVID-19 emergency declaration under the National Emergencies Act.

Gosar says, with new case numbers declining, vaccinations underway and states reopening, Congress should terminate the declaration. In a statement released yesterday by Gosar’s office, he says Congress has “lazily interpreted the law” and is ignoring due diligence to decide if the declaration should continue. It was passed more than a year ago as the coronavirus pandemic took hold in the U.S. and the world.
