Prescott National Forest And Quad-Cities Will Move To Stage II Fire Restrictions Friday

istock.com

Officials with the Prescott National Forest will implement State II fire restrictions beginning this Friday, June 11th, at 8 a.m.

The restrictions prohibit all open fires, camp fires and stove fires, smoking except within an enclosed vehicle, building, or developed recreation site, welding or other open flame torches, chainsaws between the hours of 9 a.m. and 8 p.m., and discharging a firearm, except while engaged in a lawful hunt. The restrictions will be in effect until forest officials determine conditions have changed enough to reduce the risk of human-caused wildfire. The cities of Prescott, Prescott Valley, Dewey-Humboldt, Chino Valley and Paulden will also move to State II fire restrictions this Friday.
