The City of Flagstaff will implement stage four fire restrictions beginning Wednesday at 8 a.m. to reduce the danger of human-caused wildfires.

It bans all outdoor open-flame grills, including propane, charcoal and pellet grills and those with an on-off switch, in the city limits.

In addition, sections of the Flagstaff Urban Trail that lead to the Coconino National Forest will close including Mars Hill, Little America and the Arizona Trail, among other areas. Observatory Mesa and Picture Canyon City Open Space will also be off limits to the public.

The Flagstaff Fire and Police departments will expand patrols in the city to enforce the bans.
