prescott.org

Firefighters yesterday responded to three lightning-caused wildfires on the Prescott National Forest. The Tiger Fire is burning in the Castle Creek Wilderness southeast of Crown King. Fire managers are working on suppression options that will keep firefighters safe. Smoke is visible along the I-17 corridor near Sunset Point. The Yellow Fire is burning northeast of Dugas. Ground and aerial crews worked last night to slow forward progress and focus on containment lines. Crews have kept a third fire - the Grief Fire -burning east of Cherry to a quarter acre, so far.
