Man Drives Car Into Flagstaff Mall, Attempts Theft At Dillard's

The Flagstaff Mall was shut down for several hours today after a man suspected of theft and burglary drove a truck through the main entrance and tried to break into a store. The Flagstaff Police Department reports the man drove a stolen FedEx delivery truck into the entrance at around 10 a.m. Monday, causing thousands of dollars of damage. ABC15 reports he allegedly attempted to break into Dillard’s after the crash and then ran down a service hallway. He was eventually arrested without incident. No injuries were reported. Law enforcement officials say the man reportedly committed numerous other felonies in the area of the mall, including thefts and attempted residential burglaries. A separate burglary at the mall this weekend appears to be unrelated, according to police.
