The state Department of Health Services coronavirus dashboard on Thursday recorded more than 3,600 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 and another 24 deaths. Except for Monday, the past week has consistently seen more than 3,000 new cases statewide each day.

The total number of deaths in Arizona since the pandemic started now stands at more 21,000. The number of patients hospitalized for virus-related reasons also continues to trend upward.

The Navajo Nation on Thursday reported 103 more COVID-19 cases, but no additional deaths for the 26th time in the past 42 days. The latest numbers pushed the tribe’s known death toll since the pandemic began to 1,507.

Based on cases from Oct. 22-Nov. 4, the Navajo Department of Health on Monday issued an advisory for 56 communities due to an uncontrolled spread of COVID-19.
