Search and rescue personnel in Grand Canyon National Park have found the body of a Scottsdale man who was reported overdue on Tuesday while hiking below the South Rim.

An aerial search of the Boucher Trail Tuesday morning discovered 57-year-old Ralph Stoll between Yuma Point and Dripping Springs about 200 feet below the trail.

His body was recovered and flown by helicopter to the South Rim.

Officials didn’t say specifically how Stoll died and an investigation is being conducted by the National Park Service and the Coconino County Medical Examiner’s Office.
