A snowy week ahead for northern Arizona

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for much of northern Arizona today as another storm system moves into the region.

A Wind Advisory has also been issued from Grand Canyon Village, southeast to the Arizona-New Mexico state line, including the Black Mesa area, as well as the Chuska and White Mountains. Gusts up to 50 mph are expected at times.

Snow and rain from this storm system should hit the region this evening, with 2-4 inches of snow possible as low as 4500’, and 4-8 inches above 5500’.

Snow is in the forecast most of this week. Real time weather information can be found on Twitter @nwsFlagstaff. Up to date road conditions can be found @Arizona DOT.
