Full Court Rejects Schiavo Parents' Appeal

The Circuit Court of Appeals in Atlanta refuses a request from the parents of Terri Schiavo for an emergency hearing on reinserting their brain-damaged daughter's feeding tube. Schiavo's parents say they'll ask the U.S. Supreme Court to take the case.

The hospice patient's feeding tube was disconnected Friday at the behest of her husband. Her parents are seeking to have it reinserted. The court's 10-2 vote formalizes an earlier rejection of the filing by Schiavo's parents, Bob and Mary Schindler.

In Florida, Gov. Jeb Bush announced he's considering whether Terri Schiavo should be placed in adult protective custody.
