The Arizona Senate today announced it has hired a group of independent auditors to review the 2020 election in Maricopa County. The review will include a hand recount of 2.1 million ballots.

In a statement today, Republican Senate President Karen Fann said the audit group will consist of 3 corporations that specialize in digital security and ballot recounts. One of the companies, Wake Technology Services, recently performed hand-count audits in Pennsylvania and New Mexico in connection with the 2020 General Election. The scope of the audit will include electronic and manual recounts, reviews of votes cast and counted, and an audit of the electronic voting system used in Maricopa County.  A report is expected in about 60 days.
