Ducey Says No Changes To AZ COVID-19 Policies Despite CDC Mask Update

AP

Republican Gov. Doug Ducey says Arizona won’t be making any changes to its COVID-19 polices even though the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has reversed course on some masking guidelines. The CDC recommended Tuesday that masks be worn indoors in parts of the country classified as having substantial or high transmission, citing a surge of infections from the delta variant. It included all teachers, staff, students and visitors at schools nationwide regardless of vaccination status. While Ducey says the state won’t change its guidance, the state health department said it would adjust its rules for K-12 students.
