An initiative that would have taxed Arizona's wealthy to raise nearly 1 billion dollars for education has been removed from the November ballot.
The Arizona Republic reports, a Maricopa County Superior Court judge ruled the language of the measure was "opaque," following a lawsuit filed by a committee backed by the Arizona Chamber of Commerce. Invest In Ed will appeal the decision to the Arizona Supreme Court. The group backed a similar initiative in 2018, which was also removed from the ballot for "misleading" language.
