Massachusetts Senator Elizabeth Warren is bringing her Democratic presidential campaign to Arizona this weekend. She’s scheduled to make a campaign appearance at the Mesa Amphitheater on Saturday morning.
The doors will open to the public at 9:30 a.m. and the event is being held outdoors. Warren had a poor showing in Super Tuesday voting in 14 states and American Samoa. She came in third place in her home state of Massachusetts. (California’s results were still being tallied early Wednesday where Warren was in fourth place).
In all 18 states that have voted so far, she has not come in above third place and she’s facing pressure to bow out of the race.
But, Warren’s campaign says she has enough money to continue her run at this time.
Democratic presidential candidate, Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders, has scheduled a campaign stop in Phoenix at Veteran's Memorial Coliseum at the state fairgrounds Thursday night.
Arizona's presidential preference election is March 17th.
