Face Coverings Will Be Required In Coconino County Court Buildings

Beginning June 1st, face coverings will be required in Coconino County court buildings to reduce exposure and the spread of COVID-19.

County officials say they do not have the funding to provide face coverings to everyone in the courts. As a result, individuals without face coverings may be turned away and denied entry unless they bring their own. Individuals may need to appear remotely at court proceedings.

As the county expands in-person visits coming out of Arizona's stay-at-home order, staff will wear personal protective equipment in certain situations. The court will also screen for illness as a matter of publi

c safety. Arizona courts are authorized to prohibit entry by those who do not meet screening requirements.
