Missing Apache Junction Woman Found Dead Following Silver Alert/Search

Arizona Department of Public Safety

Authorities say an Apache Junction woman who was the focus of a Silver Alert issued Wednesday, has been found dead.

Pinal County Sheriff’s officials say the body of 70-year-old Myra Lewis was located Wednesday afternoon after an extensive search. There were no obvious signs of foul play. Lewis left her home on foot at 7:30 a.m. and failed to return, triggering a missing person’s alert. Authorities say Lewis had Alzheimer’s disease and a cognitive impairment.
