New Poll Shows Slight Decline In Support For Recreational Cannabis In AZ

istock.com

Support for legalizing recreational cannabis in Arizona has slipped in recent months.

According to a poll by OH Predictive Insights, 46% of state residents support it while about 45% don’t. Less than 10% of Arizonans remain undecided. That’s down from July when 6 in 10 residents supported decriminalizing the plant.

The Marijuana Legalization Initiative will appear on the Nov. 3 ballot as Proposition 207, and would let those 21 and older to use and possess small amounts of cannabis. The state would tax it at 16%, benefiting community colleges, police, sheriff, and fire departments, among other public initiatives.
