'Wet And Unsettled' Weather To Continue In Arizona This Week

Soggy weather is expected across Arizona through Friday.  Forecasters say possible heavy rains in some areas could result in flooding with flowing washes and roads covered by water.

The National Weather Service says weather will be “wet and unsettled," with rain moving through the deserts and forests each day.  Forecasters say the strongest potential for heavy rainfall will hit Thursday afternoon and continue into Friday.  There also could be some light snow accumulations Thursday into Friday at elevations above 7,000 feet--including Flagstaff, Williams and Grand Canyon.

There's a chance of some flooding and flash flooding in lower lying areas where the ground is becoming saturated.

A low pressure system has been very slowly across Arizona from the California coast since Tuesday but sunny and warmer weather is expected in time for the weekend.
