To our listeners in Prescott, Payson, Kingman, and the White Mountains:
You’ve lost your KNAU signal because our main transmitter in Flagstaff is operating at reduced power for unknown reasons. An engineer has been dispatched and we hope the cure is a simple one. We apologize for the inconvenience and suggest you listen to us online here at KNAU.org. Verde Valley listeners should find us at 102.5. In Prescott, try 106.1.

Outage Update 04/24 12:40PM:
Our engineer is planning to be at the KNAU 88.7 Mormon Mountain transmitter site this evening. We’re still operating a reduced power but it is likely he’ll need to turn off the transmitter completely in order to diagnose and, hopefully, remedy the situation. Our Flagstaff auxiliary transmitter will keep us on the air locally but with a greatly reduced coverage area. Again, thank you for your patience and your support. We’re working to restore full service as soon as possible.
Outage Update 04/25 10:30AM:
Our engineer journeyed to the KNAU transmitter site on Mormon Mountain late last night and came up with a solution to the low power situation. He’s headed back up the mountain now, Saturday morning, with what we think is a temporary fix that should get us up to 100% power. After that we’ll need to send the failed component back to the factory for a rebuild. We should be able to restore service to our listeners in Kingman, Payson, Show Low and other communities who listen on our network of repeater stations. Thanks for your patience and continued financial support.
Outage Update 04/25 3:50PM:
While we were optimistic earlier that we would be able remedy our reduced-power situation with KNAU 88.7, we’re still working for a solution. Thursday evening the transmitter shut down and we were only able to bring it back to 25% power. After being completely off the air most of Saturday afternoon and after two engineering visits to the Mormon Mountain transmitter site, we might be back to square one. While we seek a fix, remember that our streaming service is unimpaired here at KNAU.org. We thank you for your patience and your continued financial support.
?Outage Update 04/27 9:20AM:
While power has been restored to our transmitter, it remains functioning on a lower power level. Some listeners may be able to here 102.5 again, but service beyond that to our extended reach sites is very limited. We apologize for the inconvenience this has caused and thank you for your continued support as we work to restore KNAU to full operating power.
