Luke Temple: Humble and Grounded Folk

Singer-songwriter Luke Temple has drawn lofty comparisons during his career: Paul Simon, Nick Drake and Jeff Buckley have all functioned as reference points at some point or other. The Massachusetts-bred visual artist made his national debut as a musician with the release of 2005's Hold a Match for a Gasoline Fire, which collected songs from the preceding five years.

The disc drew positive notices for its eclectic sound and Temple's high, sweet voice. Helping to draw attention to his debut and boost expectations for its follow-up, the song "Make Right With You" was featured in an episode of Grey's Anatomy last fall. Temple's second album, Snow Beast, came out last month.
