Funeral services set for Verde Valley firefighter-paramedic who died from COVID-19

Funeral services are set next week for a Verde Valley firefighter and paramedic who died of complications related to COVID-19. 35-year-old Tyrone Bell died October 18th after he contracted the virus in the line of duty, according to a press release from the Verde Valley Fire District. Bell grew up in Clarkdale and attended the Clarkdale-Jerome School as well as Mingus Union High School. He started his career with the Clarkdale Fire District and became a full-time firefighter-paramedic with Verde Falley Fire in 2017. Bell is survived by his wife and five-year-old son. Funeral services are scheduled for next Monday at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Cottonwood.
