Abby Fisher (percussion) and D. Edward Davis (composer/electronics) collaborated to create ‘100 untitled works in resonant aluminum’, a 53-minute work for vibraphones and electronics. The piece is composed of 100 brief miniatures, which were carefully edited, layered, and combined with a diaphanous electronic background built from vibraphone samples. In live performance, Fisher’s delicate playing merges with prerecorded layers of vibraphone, creating dense textures and endlessly varied relationships. ’100 untitled works in resonant aluminum’ is available February 7th, 2025 on cmntx records (CD and/or digital download).
