An opening reception on Sept. 9 kicks off a traveling exhibit of photos and excerpts from the book “Authentic Selves: Celebrating Trans and Nonbinary People and Their Families.” Recently published by Skinner House Books, the anthology is a collection of interviews of more than 40 people who have found supportive communities and joy in embracing their, or their family member’s, “authentic selves.”

The reception features remarks and book-signing by Jozeppi Angelo Morelli, a retired New York state police officer, federal investigator, and 9/11 World Trade Center first responder whose story appears in the book. The exhibit runs from Sept 9 - Oct 6.
