Author Talk with Melissa Sevigny, Brave the Wild River

Author Talk with Melissa Sevigny, Brave the Wild River

Science journalist Melissa Sevigny will discuss her new book, Brave the Wild River: The Untold Story of Two Women who Mapped the Botany of The Grand Canyon, which Booklist calls "a breath-catching, enlightening, and significant work of scientific, environmental, and women's history."

Through the vibrant letters and diaries of botanists Elzada Clover and Lois Jotter, Sevigny traces their 1938 journey down the Colorado River, during which they meticulously cataloged the flora of Grand Canyon.

Books will not be sold at the event, but can be purchased ahead of time at Bright Side Bookshop or Barnes & Noble for signing at the event.
