Between Wallace’s Lines: What We Can Learn From A 19th-Century Scientist

Alfred Russel Wallace (1823-1913) became one of the most well-known naturalists and writers of the Victorian world. Wallace spent a dozen years collecting and authoring his works on the natural history of flora and fauna in the upper Amazon basin and across the Malay Archipelago. During that time, Wallace independently developed a parallel theory to Charles Darwin’s natural selection.
