Citizens Water Advocacy Group - Groundwater, Growth and the Verde River
Citizens Water Advocacy Group - Groundwater, Growth and the Verde River
Groundwater, Growth & the Verde River
On Saturday, August 9, Citizens Water Advocacy Group (CWAG) and the Prescott Valley Citizens Alliance (PVCA) will host a science-based presentation by Gary Beverly, Ph.D. to learn the current status of groundwater and other issues important to residents of Prescott Valley.
Groundwater pumping in the Prescott Active Management Area exceeds recharge - this is overdraft. How does the overdraft affect homeowners and the Verde River? How long will our water last? Can the aquifer support growth? What are the solutions? Please join us for this important presentation.
This will be a hybrid meeting: in person and on Zoom. To attend in-person, join us at the Bradshaw Mountain High School auditorium 6901 E Panther Path, Prescott Valley AZ 86314. The presentation will start at 10 a.m. Individuals wishing to view the presentation via Zoom can register at the “Next Event” link at www.cwagaz.org. Questions/comments? Email us at info@cwagaz.org or call 928-445-4218.
