The Water-Energy Nexus: Water Conservation and its Role in Reducing Emissions
Communities often frame their water conservation programs on saving water for future generations or discuss the climate change impacts of prolonged drought and reduced snowpack on future water supplies. However, water conservation is not strictly good for the future; the water we use today significantly contributes to greenouse gas emissions. In this Climate Conversation, we will discuss the Water-Energy Nexus, and what we as a community can do to save water and energy to create a more resilient future.
