Climate Resilience Work Session: Growing Resilient Neighborhoods Climate Resilience Work Session: Growing Resilient Neighborhoods

Climate Resilience Work Session: Growing Resilient Neighborhoods Climate Resilience Work Session: Growing Resilient Neighborhoods

Join us for a Resilience Work Session as a part of the monthly Climate Resilience Project.

This month we will be building skills related to talking your neighbors, organizing a neighborhood resilience meeting, and joining the Resilient Neighborhoods Network.

The purpose of the Resilient Neighborhoods Network is to encourage the Flagstaff community to become more connected and more resilient through neighborhood projects and events. The Resilient Neighborhoods Network helps turn your neighborhood’s focus to resilience through increasing awareness, education, relationships, and trust. The belief that all neighborhoods should be able thrive in all conditions is central to this program, and the City of Flagstaff Sustainability Section wants to encourage Flagstaff to be a resilient, thriving community.

During this work session you will learn how to:

-talk to your neighbors, plan an initial meeting, and organize!
-set goals and create a map for your neighborhood.
-perform a resilience assessment and create a resilience plan.
-find resources and support for you and your neighborhood.

Elders/seniors, youth, families, amateurs, professionals, and people of all ages, experience, and climate-knowledge levels are welcome!

In the months we don't meet for Resilience Work Session, we will meet for Climate Conversations at the library. To learn more about the Climate Resilience Project, visit tiny.cc/FlagClimate.
