Comet Talk: The Honeymoon Trail

Comet Talk: The Honeymoon Trail

This is a live zoom presentation.

This presentation will highlight a modern-day journey along the historic Honeymoon Trail. The Honeymoon Trail is the old wagon route that members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints would take to travel from Snowflake and Phoenix, Arizona to St. George, Utah to get married in the St. George Temple. A key point on the trip was crossing the Colorado River at Lee’s Ferry. This presentation documents the 180-mile journey that Bob Theobald and his cousin Travis Haynie took that followed the trail from Lee’s Ferry to St. George, traveling through the very remote Arizona Strip and on into Utah.

Presenter Bob Theobald is an outdoor adventure enthusiast. He has been published in OutdoorX4 Magazine, Dirt Rider Magazine, Dirtrider.com, Cycle News, On The Pegs Magazine, and the RideNow Powersports Blog, discussing his two bike builds and multiple product reviews. He has cover shots on Cycle News and On The Pegs Magazine. He has covered Supercross, Endurocross, National Trials, and World Trials events for various media outlets. He has created multiple adventure travel presentations featured in the main theater at the Overland Expo West events. He is the idea creator, photographer, videographer and writer for Gone Fishing Dual Sport Adventures, and Gas Stop Gourmet. Bob currently rides a custom Yamaha WR450 dual-sport bike that was featured in Dirt Rider Magazine “Economical Adventure.”
