August 16: Owen Davis - Creative Music Making through Improvisation and Experimentation
What's that sound coming from the library's living room? It's noise artist Owen Davis talking about his life and art as a composer, percussionist, improvisor, educator, curator, and Viola Award nominee. Davis, currently the music teacher at Cromer Elementary and founder and co-curator of the Interference Series--an improvised/avant-garde/experimental performance series and non-profit organization--creates, collaborates, performs, and encourages musical and other performing arts locally and across the United States and Europe. Come see what all the noise is about--and probably make some too--in this rousing rendition of Community Living Room. All welcome!
