Ed Kabotie & Tha 'Yoties

Ed Kabotie & Tha 'Yoties

Kabotie, a third ageneration artist, as well as musician and educator, will share an "Alter-Native" perspective of
the history of America, with particular emphasis on northern Arizona. The presentation will be
interspersed with artwork from the Kabotie family, original music from Tha 'Yoties and a Native
American Flute introduction by Hunter Eagleman RedDay (Dine'/Dakota). Tha 'Yoties refer to
their music as "IrieZona Reggae/Rock." The band is notable for their lively performances, catchy
melodies, and conscious message. They have performed at museums, universities, colleges and
schools throughout the country in pursuit of their mission. Through the universal language of
music, Tha 'Yoties (short for coyotes) are howling for the Indigenous people and lands of the
Colorado Plateau.
